Lyrics

It is said that actions speak louder than words
but my words are the expressive units of my thoughts
and my thoughts are constantly filled with voices in my head speaking, sometimes even screaming of how much I love you long before my actions have the backbone to tell you I do.
The first day you said I love you,
I asked you,
if you knew what it took to truly love a poet like me
to romanticize with words
and have a chessboard of queens but still choose to go with puns,
to make word play your favorite type of love play
to snap in the happiest of moments
and rub your palms into beats that speak louder than a million talking drums.
See, I am not a love poet,
I am just a poet seeking to be loved
Seeking for words of affirmation moulded into acts of services, gifted with quality time that transcends every physical touch.
I do not ask for much,
do not ask for Heaven and earth,
my Father already willed that
but if you must love me,
love me in every language and every tongue
Love me for my every flaw and through every fall
Love me with words
and when words are not enough,
love me in the silence of your embrace.

Love me for my every flaw and through every fall.
Love me with words
and when words are not enough,
love me in the silence of your embrace.
