I am a Verb!
A noun names things, pronouns deputise, adjectives describe, adverbs modify, prepositions show relationship but I am the verb, one who stands tall like The Temple of Artemis. Someday, I am akin to the artic of the cold regions, other days I am synonymous to the beauty of Africa.

I am a verb as I represent action,
I run from evil,
dance to the music of my fathers,
walk the path of good,
I cry when I am "emotionally downcast",
I fight the good fight of faith,
I listen to scriptural readings of Ecclesiastes,
I write poems from a broken place,
I cook to my family,
I climb trees of pain, hardship and strive to pick and eat fruits of gladness,
I think different things and yes, it is indeed an ambivalent experience.

I serve as a human on this mortal plane,
I wash my hands off dirty crafts,
I sing the hymns of praise and study the books of Moses.

I am a verb, the heart of sentences is he,
I am the heart of my motherland and the beat of my fathers treasures.
I am tremendously important in the world as none is like me.
As the verb is the most important part of speech, well, as am I to creation.
Other classes of grammar cannot take up their syntactic functions without him, so are the creatures of the earth be incomplete without me.

I am the adhesive, I am completion, absolute, essential, significant, crucial yet substantial.
I am indeed powerful.

I am as important as the crown is to the king or his regalia as clad, as rainbow is to the sky.
I am the sceptre of authority for one without it; is a commoner.
I am the stamp and seal, without which laws come to naught.

I am the river that binds continent without which the earth will be void.
I am The Lighthouse of Alexandria, the tower of strength.
As a verb cannot be done without, so can I.

I may be hurt, screwed, twisted or bent but I remain the corner stone.
My functionality cannot be done without.
I don't describe things nor modify nouns, I am the action, I am the state of being and I am excellent yet regal, opulent yet humble, powerful yet human, a poet yet Nigerian.

I am a verb, I remain consequential in the matters of life and yes I am a verb nonetheless.
