If Wishes Were True.

Letra

If wishes were true, and I had just one wish to make,
I would wish for uncountable wishes,
So my wishes would never end.

I would wish for wisdom,
To be wiser than Solomon,
Far greater than he ever was

If wishes were true, and I had one wish to make,
I would not wish to trade places with God.
The weight of His responsibilities would crush me
My shoulders are not ready for that kind of burden,
And I have not been to the gym recently.
Besides, I lack the patience to deal with all of humanity.
Make I not lie you,
Teeth go surplus, and the death rate would spike,
All because my wrath does not know how to rest.

If wishes were true, and I had one wish to make,
I would wish for “evil” to be annihilated from the face of the earth,
Its shadow erased, unable to remember what it once was.
I would wish for “good” to become our cultural heritage—
Our legacy.
I would wish for a world that speaks one language:
Kindness as our mother tongue,
Peace and love as our dialects.

If wishes were true, and I had one wish to make,
I would wish to spend my life doing what I love the most,
Surrounded by the people I cherish deeply.
For nothing is more fulfilling,
Nothing more beautiful,
Than living a life full of passion and love.
