Amidst the tides of everyday life
Where Obligations tug & Strife
A truth remains, undisputed & stark
Bills have no emotions, no light or dark.

They line up patiently, rows upon rows
Numbers & figures, and endless throes
Their cold grip tightens, their demand persist
As they penetrate our lives with ruthless twist.

Unmoved by our struggles, they callously persist
Indifferent to pleas, they persistently insist
They care not for joy the or laughter we share
For bills have no emotions, they're simply unfair.

Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Lagos
Where dreams were chased & money flowed like fountains
Lived a girl, whose life was filled with strife
For she found herself trapped in the clutches of life's ruthless cycle.

With her pockets empty & her dreams on hold
She trudged through the streets with nothing to hold
She has bills to pay, like a cloud hanging over her head
Electricity, water, rent and more
Each month a battle she dread.

In her humble abode, she sat in despair
Stacks of bills on the table, mocking her with their glare
Letters from creditors demanding their dues
But little did they know her pockets were bare.

Bills have no emotions, they care not for my struggle or mental health
They come knocking relentlessly, like relentless drum.
Demanding their payments, leaving me numb.

But I said to myself, I refuse to be defeated by this plight
I have a spirit that burns fierce & bright
I will work day & night, in the sun & the rain
Determined to overcome, to break free from the chain.

I shall pour my heart into my craft with passion & soul
Creating masterpieces, achieving my goal
My art speaks volumes, motivating the masses
And slowly, but surely, my fortune will bless the masses.

Today the world takes notice of my talent
My name has become relevant
Wealth flows in, like a river in full bloom
Suddenly, I have room to breath, no more gloom.

See I painted my bills with colours
To remind the world that behind each bill their is a story
For bills may have no emotions, no soul, no heart that beat
But we, as humans are defined by our heat.

In this chaotic world where dreams collide
