The theme for Quarter 1 is officially live:

"I'M NOT THE POET, I'M THE POEM."

Are you just the writer, or are you the living, breathing masterpiece?

Is your life, your pain, or your joy the actual art?

We want you to strip back the layer of the observer and become the piece itself.

Deliver your truth, untamed and spoken from the soul.

• Submission Window: Submissions open right now and close strictly on December 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM (noon).

• Audio Length: Your entry must be 5 minutes or less.

• The Format: Upload your audio track on Poetreel.com under the category tagged "Poetreel" or the specific Q1 theme category. Incorrect tagging means automatic disqualification!

• The Vote: The community votes to select the Top 10 finalists based on likes (tie-breakers are decided by comment counts—so get your audience talking!). From there, our in-house judges select the final Top 3.
