Is Talent all you need to win? Well, talent is not enough. I repeat, talent is not enough.
Here are the winners for Week Three...

There is this saying that "hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard."

Most poets expect that all they need to do is to perform their poems and that's all.

In the midst of "many competent workers," what will be the factor to differentiate them?

Obviously, it can no longer be competency. Other factors will have to come into play.

Thus, in the midst of "plenty good poems," technicality/expertise/talent would shrink in size.

So what would make you stand out?

Based on poetic prowess, one of our top five poems for this Week Three is the one by Iheoma Uzomba.

However, at the time of posting this article, there is barely any traction on it. No likes, no comments, 26 plays only.

The ability to promote/ market/ sell yourself as a poet is a fundamental aspect of being a successful/ established poet.

Talent is not enough.

Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard.

On the Home Page, the weekly top tracks is on your right. One glance and you know what people are enjoying/ listening to for the week.

Thus, the work put in by Divine Favour Ndada is acknowledged and appreciated.

However, based on the unanimous decision of the Judges, the winners for Poetreel Weekly Challenge Week Three are:

      • Aanuoluwapo Aremo

      • Ifeoma Elechi

Congrats guys.
